Chris Arnold
VP of Business Development-Sales & Design

Chris has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry and has been a member of the Foster Remodeling Solutions team since 2004. He studied Architectural Drafting in High School and College. Chris started his career in the remodeling industry as a draftsman creating working drawings, estimating projects and obtaining permits. Additionally, he spent time in the field as a carpenter apprentice where he gained valuable hands on experience. Chris spent the next 9 years with a kitchen cabinet distributor as a kitchen designer, outside salesman and branch manager. During this time he assisted the company with its transition from a wholesaler to a retailer as well as assisting in the establishment of 3 new showrooms in the Mid-Atlantic region. In 2000, Chris went to work for an Insurance Restoration contractor as an estimator and general manager opening new offices in DC and Northern Virginia. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic have earned Chris his position as a member of the Foster Remodeling Solutions management team along with an ownership interest in the company.

Kirstie McMahon
Sales and Showroom Manager

Kirstie has spent most of her life in the Northern Virginia area, and graduated from Radford University in 2008.  Upon graduation, she started working in the sales/construction fields as an office manager.  She takes this experience and has now joined the Foster team in February, 2014. Kirstie also has an old heart, and enjoys activities such as sewing, needlework and quilting as well as cooking and gardening.  She also has two rescue pets at home, and loves working with people.

Dory Clemens
Design Consultant

After attending Virginia Tech’s Washington Area Architectural Center (WAAC) in Alexandria, Dory started working in residential building and remodeling. She specializes in space planning, helping homeowners reconfigure their existing homes and plan additions that are beautiful, functional and efficient. Prior to joining Foster Remodeling Solutions, Dory worked for a luxury home builder in Northern VA, where she helped clients with everything from floorplans to finishes. She enjoys getting to know her clients personally so she can create designs that perfectly compliment their current lifestyle, future goals, and aesthetic preferences. In addition to design, Dory loves being mom to two boys and one rescue puppy.

Sean McLarty
Design Consultant

Sean went into the remodeling industry after he got out of the Air Force and has spent over 33 years in the remodeling business, specializing in residential remodeling in the Washington metro area. He spent his first 10 years as a carpenter and owned his own business. He then spent 23 years designing additions, kitchens, baths, exterior, and interior projects. Sean has been a NARI Certified Remodeler (CR) since 2004. He enjoys interacting with clients and finding out what they want their space to look like and turning their remodeling dreams into reality. In his spare time, Sean enjoys spending time with his family. He is a lifelong musician and enjoys playing music and attending concerts.

Kayla has a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  After graduation, she gained residential remodeling experience through diverse employment opportunities that allowed her to become well-rounded in all aspects of the design industry.  She is very passionate about high-quality design solutions and takes pride in creating a long-term value for her clients’ homes.  Because of her background in plumbing, she enjoys bathroom remodeling projects, but also loves any design challenge that can be thrown her way.  In her down time, she loves to cook and hang out with her family.

Rachel Mignogna
Design Consultant

Rachel joins Foster Remodeling Solutions with over 12 years of design experience. She is specialized in various customer segments, from new construction to renovating and remodeling all rooms of the home. Her degree in Education provides a great foundation for her relationships with clients and her attention to detail. She understands how important it is to be informed and helps to make sure you understand every step of the process. Rachel has experience and comfort with cabinetry, countertops, appliances and fixtures which allows for the ideal turn-key experience and provides less stress. She is a Northern Virginia native and when not working, Rachel enjoys family time with her husband and her two young boys, two cats and a dog….it’s a full house!

Cathy Vivas
Design Assistant

Cathy has a degree in Psychology from University of Maryland. She has a work history of working with kids with special needs and transitioned in to design 5 years ago.  She received her degree in Interior Design from Marymount University.  She has a background in assisting homeowners in selections, everything from custom upholstery to countertops. In her spare time, she leads her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop.

Architectural Designer

Joshua is an Architectural Designer/Drafter and received a degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design From ITT tech in Norfolk, VA. Joshua has over 12 years of cumulative experience designing home plans for a custom builder in Colonial Williamsburg, VA, and drafting plans for an Architectural Firm in Newport News, VA focusing on Traditional Neighborhood Developments.He works with all the latest CAD software to show clients their final layout in 3D.
